“I just came across an address given to me by Hopeful Tails, a pet rescue in Nyack, NY, where I adopted my dear Lily almost three years ago. She is the sweetest animal I have ever had the privilege of sharing a life with, over a lifetime of pet ownership. You guys pulled her out of a kill shelter as a puppy. I am extremely grateful to you and thankful for the work you do. I am attaching a puppy photo of dear Lily and one of her from a cross-country trip we took with her. Best wishes, – Sharon”
Peewee’s Pet Adoption
Road Dawg Rescue
Tary Tarlton and his family (wife, Lynne, and daughter, Liliana) from Ridgefield, CT continue to be our heroes. Tary, the owner of Kenosia Construction in Danbury, CT, made his second trip of the year down from the northeast coast in September and saved 36 more dogs from spending the rest of their lives at our shelter. Some were dogs that had been with us over two years and were never adopted. Tary, having already made the long trip down by himself, took the group back 2,000 miles across 12 states to shelters in New York and Connecticut with the help of our Assistant Director, Bobby. All the dogs quickly found wonderful homes and will live happily ever after. Tary will hopefully be back in January and we can’t wait! Thank you to Tary and Lynne, and thank you to Gerry Tartaglione from Hopeful Tails and Allyson Dotson from ROAR. We couldn’t do this without you!
Recent Rescues : Gus and Gidget
Gus and Gidgit, two older Lhasa mixes, were brought to us by a lady whose neighbor had passed away, and they were just set loose in the streets. After a bath, groom, and getting their teeth cleaned, they are now ready for adoption, and may those mean people get what they deserve.
